side effects of saw palmetto extract?

apparently it appears that these softgels i bought are threrefore useful for men, though the assistant at the store claimed that woman use these as well. also, i've heard they promote breast growth. wheres the catch? is there a possibility that my height may increase, or hair loss can take place? what are some other things this does? what if i drink them (60 softgels) one each day, and then like i stop but my breasts do grow, will my breasts shrink back if i quit drinking them? please be specific especially about the truth about breasts and side effects. what are some other things that make breasts grow? i heard fennel seed is a good one? how do i take it?

2009 Jun 26 1In large doses it makes the breasts swell (not grow) due to the hormone effects. It is just like breasts swell in pregnancy. If you stop taking them, the swelling goes down. But it takes large doses, not one a day. (You do need to be educated about the effect of such large doses on the body instead of simply just taking them for breast enhancement.)
That is why it helps BPH too. The extract works similar to any female hormone (progesterone) which causes prostates to shrink. Just think of it as taking any feminine hormone. But it must be taken in large doses for the effects.
People sometimes use SP berries as supplemental feeding in livestock to help them put on weight. It works the same way just as a female pregnancy hormone, so the cows, goats, etc put on weight. SP berries come from an evergreen tree that grows in the US.
