How can I thicken my hair, ie. grow more!?
02 Mar 2010
My hair isn’t as thick as it was when I was younger. I’m sure it’s a combination of my poor diet (I’m terrible for not getting my five-a-day!), and also daily heat treatment - I curl it every day.
Is it possible to get my thicker hair back if I switch to a healthier diet and maybe take some supplements? What are the best supplements for hair? Or is hair-loss pretty much irreversible?

2010 Mar 02 1There are simply loads of hair thickening products on the market! Don’t know about diet, etc. It’s said that everyone looses 100 hairs a day …if you loose 1,000 hairs a day your going bald!

2010 Mar 02 5First off stop curling your hair everyday. At max curl it once a week(stay away from to much heat and use heat protectant). Secondly you need to use alot of conditioners to get your hair healty again. Which brings me to my next point you should go on a healthy diet one that focuses on making your hair healthier without neglecting your other bodily needs. Since your hair isn’t thinning it’s just not as thick as before you shouldn’t be in a bad situation.

2010 Mar 02 6For sure, diet always has something to do. Change to a healthier diet, and watch your hair grow! I had a friend who had beautiful soft hair, then got a perm curl, and now it’s all gross and wiry. Also, don’t wash your hair to much, I have beautiful long hair, and all because one, it’s virgin, and also cause i never curled it or anything.

2010 Mar 02 7Eat healthier, drink lots of water, and take multivitamins.
You should also try to not use a curling iron everyday. Maybe try using a curling product, like Got2b curlvacious.
You can also try this:
3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
1 cup of boiling water
10 drops of jojoba oil
Optional: a few rosemary and/or thyme leaves.
Combine, and let everything infuse in the boiling water for about 15 minutes. If you use the thyme and/or rosemary leaves, strain them out. Let the mixture cool, and then apply onto hair before shampooing. Do this maybe 2-3 times a week.
You can also try :
1 cup of boiling water
4 drops of rosemary oil
4 drops of lavender oil
1/2 tablespoon of jojoba oil
4 drops of emu oil
Let this cool, and then apply to hair twice a week before shampooing.
You can get all this stuff at a health food store.
