Cat’s hair loss…………………………?

I have an overweight female cat about 1 1/2 years old. In the past 3 days I’ve noticed chunks of fur on my floors. I see it’s coming from her stomach area. I don’t know if she or her brother is pulling it out. Or is it falling out? But it’s a perfect rectangular pattern that’s getting bigger. A week ago I put her on a diet, could that have something to do w/ it or could this be something serious?

2010 Jan 10 1it is when your cat is stressed. there is medicine for this kind of thing ask your vet if he/she carries it
